Agent Smith asked:
“President Carter worked throughout the campaign to secure their release, including launching an ill-fated rescue mission in April 1980 that killed eight U.S. servicemen. Critics say the Reagan team was so concerned that Carter would gain a boost by winning their release just before the election, that his campaign manager and others negotiated privately with the Iranians to ensure that did not happen.”

I don’t think anything as you source states quite clearly that critics claim this. It is meaningless and unfounded conjecture, at best..

“Critics say” that Glen Johnson is spreading rumors.
And why didn’t you quote the next sentence it which Glen Johnson said “…no conspiracy was ever proved.” ….?

Reagan was too oblivious to be fully aware of what the true traitors, HW Bush and William Casey, were doing.
Cheney has modeled his treasonous Vice Presidency after Herbert Walker Bush’s total manipulation, and domination of Reagan, from behind the curtain.
The Bush family has always been a pack of International Corporate fascist tools.

I’d stick with the accounts from the Army and Air force Members that survived that mission.

It sounds like Reagan was actually evil.

I use my brain.
If you meant what do I think. I think people have been trying to belittle the best president in my life since 1988. I also think it’s quite funny that anyone would try to build up the worst president of the century 30 years later.
Carter has a clear track record of being a failure. Actually making 43 look Lincolnesque.
What kind of hosehead tries to rewrite history when millions are still around that lived the history. I guess your next post is going to be on How the Jews in Germany mistreated the Nazi’s?
